Updated: Dec 20, 2022

September 3 through December 30, 2022

Opening Reception Saturday, September 3, 2022 from 5 to 7 pm

Artist in attendance

In an adjacent gallery accessible via elevator are the quiet photographs of Ted Shaffer The Historic Churches & Chapels of Southern Colorado and Northern New Mexico. Each replete with time, place and purpose to tell the story of those who settled in our area without the pleasure of knowing them. Within the gallery is the inaugural exhibit of the Early Hispano Families of Huerfano County – the works of Sylvia Lucero Brandle.

This is a new initiative with MoF and Ron Sandoval and local historians to tell the story of how our beautiful/wonderful area came to be.

Please join us for the opening on September 3rd, Saturday from 5 to 7 pm to meet and discuss how art, story and action are working in harmony in Walsenburg and how MoF plans to continue to serve our community.
