MoF Hosts Annual Marketplace of Ideas: Celebrating Creativity, Community & Small Business Saturday
The Museum of Friends invites the community to celebrate creativity and connection at the 13th Annual Marketplace of Ideas & Made in Walsenburg Holiday Market, November 29 and December 6 from 10 AM to 4 PM. Enjoy local art, handmade gifts, and refreshments, plus a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus on December 6. Every purchase supports local artists and small businesses, boosting Walsenburg’s creative economy.


Independent Voices Community Gallery: Art Rooted in Belonging
Independent Voices celebrates artists whose work speaks boldly from the margins—creators who defy convention and embody the spirit of self-determination that defines the Museum of Friends. Through painting, assemblage, photography, and writing, these artists remind us that independence is a form of connection, linking creative freedom with community vitality.


Tom Vail & Jann Vail, Shared Journey Exhibit
The Museum of Friends is proud to present Tom Vail & Jann Vail: Shared Journey, a retrospective exhibition celebrating the couple’s five-decade creative partnership. Opening October 18, 2025, the show honors their life, love, and artistic legacy, with works that reflect a shared passion for art, music, and community.
