In celebration of our upcoming anniversary this October, we gathered to finish the art banners begun through the STEAM program — a fitting tribute to 20 years of creativity. Brendt Berger led the workshop, demonstrating his unique process that honors his native Hawaiian roots. We were honored to have Melody and Nate of Human Focused Media, through support from Colorado Creative Industries, document the occasion in a short film highlighting our two decades of artistic impact.

In preparation for filming, we organized a series of activities inspired by our ongoing STEAM projects, which will be displayed alongside the work of one of our greatest supporters, History Colorado. That partnership reaches an exciting milestone on April 14th, when Deep Roots Craftsmen will begin replacing 19 of our 38 windows with historically accurate wood frames. The banners are displayed in front of the museum at 600 Main Street.

Huge shout-out to all participants, including, but not limited to, Larry Shumacher, Mike Peters, Evan Kasander, Reba Savageau, Archil Ghegleckkeri, Lika Shubitidze, and Aubrey Lykins.
Special Thanks to Green Thumb Initiative, History Colorado State Historical Fund, Colorado Creative Industries, Gates Family Foundation, Robert Hoag Foundation, Rawlings Foundation, El Pomar Foundation, City of Walsenburg URA, and Huerfano County.
