Dear Community Members and Local Vendors,
Made in Walsenburg brings artists, jewelers, craftspeople, photographers, food vendors, authors and local entrepreneurs together at the Museum of Friends. As you shop and support local nonprofits and creative makers you will learn about the artists’/vendors’ process, philosophy and local traditions. Each participant will have a table and share their methods with unfinished projects on hand, with completed ones to sell. This year our newest makers: Lika Shubitidze will offer beautifully unique and quite utilitarian up-cycle leather goods; Henrietta Blue Bird will offer great natural stone necklaces; and Brendt
Berger’s Abstractions/Ancestors will be on sale. Other vendors/makers at the event are from Walsenburg, Gardner, La Veta, Cuchara, Trinidad, Pueblo, and Aguilar.
This yearly event impacts Huerfano County’s local economy by promoting local talent with locally made goods. A portion of sales benefits MoF’s general operating budget. Many other local non-profits with a public mission will be on hand such as the Red Cross to share what they do in Huerfano County. Refreshments are provided by Safeway Stores, Denver. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on hand to spread some holiday cheer.
Vendors: call 719-738-2858 for more info or request a table to participate!
