EARTH Exhibit Opens and Community Healing Through Art Programs

The Museum of Friends (MoF) invites the public to the opening of its spring exhibition, EARTH, on Saturday, April 26 from 5 to 7 PM. This community event will feature live music. With Lika Shubditze, Archil Gheghechkori, David Enke, refreshments, and the debut of the Community Healing Tree. This is a participatory installation designed to celebrate EARTH and collective healing and renewal.
On view through June 14, 2025, EARTH brings together works by more than a dozen artists from the region and broader United States, exploring themes of environment, connection, and healing. Featured artists include Elizabeth Hansen, Ezra Li Eismont, Ella Evans, Ray Espinoza, Leatrice Linden, Richard Mehringer, Joe Linfesty, Hannah Standeven, Neal Robinson, Brendt Berger, Heidi Eversley, Sue Martinez, Elizabeth Hansen, Maria Cocchiarelli, Reba Savageau, Marissa Martinez, Heather R. Hernandez, Lisa Durham & Hella Songbeetle.
The exhibit is supported by a series of free and public healing arts programs, designed to deepen community connection through creative practice and mindfulness in collaboration with Green Thumb Initiative. Please join us for these innovative, healing programs.

● June 7, 1–3 PM: Artists Talk on Art: Tour Through the EARTH Exhibit
● June 20, 5–7 PM: Summer Solstice Healing Ceremony with Hella Songbeetle of SkySoul Collective
“MoF’s new initiative is about bringing art to the forefront in healing our souls,” says MoF co-founder Maria Cocchiarelli-Berger. “The art, the programming - it’ s all about healing, reflection, creative renewal, and energizing our community to move forward through healing.”
The Museum of Friends is located at 600 Main St., Walsenburg, CO 81089, and is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM.
Admission is free.
