Community Education
The Museum of Friends (MoF) offers a range of community education programs designed to foster creativity, well-being, and lifelong learning in Huerfano County. Grounded in the museum’s mission of accessibility and inclusion, these initiatives engage participants of all ages through interdisciplinary, hands-on experiences that connect art, culture, civic engagement, and community.
From early childhood through adulthood, MoF’s programs encourage curiosity, personal expression, and shared learning. Students and community members explore the arts through guided workshops, collaborative public projects, trauma-informed creative practices, and activities that celebrate local history and collective identity. Many of these programs are developed in partnership with educators, artists, and regional organizations, strengthening civic engagement and supporting long-term community resilience.
Together, MoF’s Pre-K–12 STEAM Program, Healing Through Art Program, and Community Workshops reflect the museum’s enduring commitment to making art an accessible pathway to connection, empowerment, and creative growth.
