Artist in Residence (AiR) Program
The Museum of Friends Artist-in-Residence program, established in 2012, provides artists the opportunity to immerse themselves in Walsenburg’s creative landscape while developing new work. Supported as funding becomes available, the program has welcomed both local and visiting artists whose contributions enrich the cultural fabric of the region. Residencies often include community-engaged projects, site-specific installations, or exhibitions that further the museum’s mission of fostering connection, creativity, and civic engagement through the arts. Additional media coverage and archival materials will be added as they become available.
