About the event

Walking Earth: Plein Air Artmaking

Suggested Donation $8 | Ages 15+ | All materials provided

Join us for a nature-based artmaking session that begins with mindful walking and culminates in studio expression with Artist and Guide, Maria Cocchiarelli. Walking Earth is designed to ground participants in the rhythms of the natural world while nurturing creativity, reflection, and presence.

Each session begins with a quiet, intentional walk through a local natural area or urban green space. Participants will be guided to collect natural objects, images, impressions, and inspirations. After the walk, we’ll return to the museum studio for a relaxed, open-format artmaking session using a variety of materials. This creative practice invites us to slow down, notice seasonal shifts, and reflect on the interconnectedness between ourselves and our environment. Whether you're an experienced artist or simply curious, Walking Earth offers a refreshing pause and creative recharge.
