2025 Workshop Program

The Creative Arts Pathway provides a space to harness your creative energy and turn it into meaningful expression. Through workshops in journaling, poetry, and mixed media art, participants will explore personal narratives, reflect on their experiences, and craft unique pieces of art. Designed for all levels, these sessions foster connection and collaboration in a welcoming and supportive environment. Whether you're seeking to express yourself or grow your skills, this pathway offers the inspiration and tools to bring your stories to life.

Words in Bloom: Found Poetry in Collage
(2 hours)

Unleash your creativity and nurture your well-being in this hands-on workshop, where poetry and collage come together to form a powerful practice of self-expression. Through the meditative process of selecting words and images, you'll craft unique creations such as heartfelt cards, expressive journal pages, or meaningful keepsakes that reflect your thoughts and emotions.

 

Collage and found poetry offer a mindful way to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and explore your inner voice. This creative process encourages relaxation, self-discovery, and emotional expression, making it a perfect practice for enhancing overall well-being. Writing Toward Well-Being
(2 hours)

Unlock the healing power of writing to bring calm, clarity, and connection to your life. This interactive workshop blends grounding practices, reflective writing, and nature-inspired storytelling to help you process emotions, cultivate mindfulness, and discover deeper meaning in your experiences.

Using a natural object as a personal touchstone, you’ll engage in simple yet powerful exercises designed to spark creativity and encourage self-reflection. Through guided writing prompts and practical techniques, you’ll leave with tools to enhance emotional well-being, reduce stress, and integrate mindful self-expression into your daily routine.

What to Bring: paper, pen

Memories in Motion: Mixed Media Memory Journaling
(2 hours)

Facilitator: Heather R. Hernandez

Transform cherished memories or paper/cardboard, otherwise headed to a landfill, into creative art through mixed media techniques. Participants will reflect on personal experiences and bring them to life in unique journals that weave together storytelling, art, and memories.

What to Bring: Old birthday/anniversary cards, pictures, ticket stubs, envelopes, any paper or cardboard item you've yet to recycle
