Western Art Sale & Gala 2019

 Museum of Friends Announces the 2nd Annual GALA Benefit to Save the Roof and Dick Building 'Phase 2' the evening of November 15th from 5:30  to 9:30
The Western Art Sale features works from the Marcia and Martin St. Lifer Collection and many others from generous contributors. The prices range from low to high and include beautiful bronze sculptures by Charles Russell.  We host many original paintings and prints including works by Woody Crumbo, Harold T. Holden, and J.D. Roybal from the San Ildefonso, Pueblo. Please “Save the Date” to attend! Join us to help celebrate the successful completion of the State Historical Fund grant with matching funds raised to rehabilitate the more than 100-year-old historic building with a newly installed elevator - exterior and interior masonry work and to begin fund raising for Phase 11.
5:30 Cocktail hour / Meet & Greet with visitors from               Downtown Colorado Inc. 7:00 A short play  “If They Build It Who Will Come?” by writer Ann McCutchan’s performed by our local historian Carolyn Newman playing Mother Jones, and other local actors. 7:30 Dinner prepared by Alys of Alys Restaurant 8:00 D.J. Jeromie Dorrance & light show created by Brian Corrigan & Downtown Colorado Inc. Dancing / Dessert / Coffee prepared byHigh Altitude Coffee Roasters until 9:30
Phase 11 will also restore the in-fill brick to the original glass storefronts that the architect Francis W. Cooper intended.  This is a great opportunity for the community to get involved with the final plans while enjoying great food and entertainment!
